I had an exciting time at the Women in Christian Media Conference in Nashville Feb. 5 & 6. It was held at the beautiful Opryland Hotel. My wonderful roommates were good friends Donna Skell, Director of Programs for Roaring Lambs Ministry and Karol Ladd, speaker and author of more than 20 books. WCM precedes the NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) Annual Conference. Many well known ministries were represented at both events.
This WCM event was blessed with guest speakers Kay Authur,  Thelma Wells and Anne Graham Lotz. Anne, who  was named the “2009 Recipient of Excellence in Communications Award,” gave a powerful message at our Banquet. It was a joy to be in a room full of dynamic godly women who serve God beautifully as authors, speakers and in many areas of media ministry.
I was especially blessed to spend time with Anne Graham Lotz (SEE PHOTO.)  Donna and I had the opportunity to greet Anne, her daughter Rachel Ruth, and Anne’s travel companion Carol at the airport and we were also asked to pray for Anne in a private setting (PHOTO ABOVE) before she entered onto the platform to speak.  What an honor. What a stunningly beautiful woman Anne is . . inside and out. Her incredible message was presented with such passion! Anne is a gifted speaker . . .  a woman after God’s own heart.
One of the things that inspired me the most at this Conference was to be in an intimate setting with Kay Arthur, Thelma Wells (PHOTO ABOVE), June Hunt, Vonette Bright, Anne Graham Lotz, actress Jennifer O’Neil and others –  who still, in this season of their lives, are serving God with a passion and purpose!Â

On Nov. 13th I was honored to be the the guest speaker for the Heavenly Holidays Women’s Dinner at First Baptist Church, Allen, Texas. Over 250 women attended. The tables were set beautifully, the food was delicious and the event went well. Your prayers made a huge difference! Thank you.   Â
NOW – I invite you to visit our Website STORE to see our beautiful new “look” and to see the Women of the Way sculputures and other wonderful resources.
My friend, Cindy Burden, has created many beautiful sculptures.  I am making several of them available. Click on each graphic to enlarge and read the scriptures. I believe these unique pieces will minister to you, your friends and loved ones in a special way – especially during this holiday season.
The MP3 iPod is also a wonderful gift to give . . . especially for those family members who are hard to shop for. . . as the men in your family. This One Year Bible, narrated by the incredible voice of Tom Dooley, contains over 90 hours of recording to include the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. You will hear the entire Bible in one year by spending just 15 minutes a day listening to this iPod. I like to listen to mine as I apply my makeup each day. AND . . . if you go to my website you can listen to the daily reading from your computer.
May God bless you this Thanksgiving season as you FOCUS on Him~ giving thanks for His provisions, mercy and grace!
Thank you for continued prayers for OnCall Prayer Ministry.
Warmly in Him,
Sharon

Description of Study: Many Christian today suffer from the routines of life. Facing possible defeat due to busyness, fear, burnout, and feeling overwhelmed they often lack the skills and passion needed to triumph. Many have not been taught how to pray or how to hear from God. This teaching will present an effective method to enhance your time in prayer. It will instill a discipline that increases wisdom and moves you from your own strength to God’s strength. You will learn about Heart Listening, Soul Writing, and Gratitude Praise; and gain Hope through Red Reflections. This course is a 7–week study.  Anyone and everyone from our community are welcome to attend. Please bring your Bible and a notepad.   Â

As you can see, updating my BLOG has not been one of my strong points. I hope to do a better job with updates. That is not to say that ministry opportunities have slacked off. In fact, I have been in a bit of a huge whirlwind with speaking and/or participating in many wonderful retreats. The recent ProvenWay Ministries Leadership Retreat was incredible and beyond description. As a woman, if you serve in any type of leadership role, you’ll want to know about ProvenWay www.provenway.org.
Along with some upcoming speaking opportunities, I am now preparing to teach a 6-week class on prayer @ Harvest Baptist Church, my home church – beginning September 7. It will be called “Hearing God through OnCall Prayer” and will meet Sunday evenings @ 5:30. I will repeat the teaching on Tuesday mornings @ 9:00. Childcare is provided with registration. Along with the Bible, our textbook will be the OnCall Prayer Journal. Anyone (men and women) are welcome to attend. Please email me for the details. I hope that you have our Journal. You can easily order your copy on this website Store. We are hearing so many wonderful reports of how men and women are hearing God in a remarkable way by using this effective tool. This unique prayer journal has thought provoking questions, 625 scriptures, and 225 pages – enough pages to last one year if you journal twice a week. . . PLUS a special pen – the Red Reflections Pen.
In the meantime, please check out another ministry where I have served for many years. . .Fellowship of Professional Women www.fpwdallas.org – an outreach for ALL women. Ladies, you’ll not want to miss attending these luncheons and hearing outstanding speakers. The new season for FPW begins on September 9th.
In closing . . may we remember this? “The only thing that moves God is my faith . . . not my need.” May your faith increase today through the power of prayer.
“I will give myself unto prayer.” Ps. 109:4
I’ll meet you at the Throne,
Sharon

It seems that I have been in a whirlwind with speaking opportunities, leading prayer retreats, and involved with many other commitments and have failed to update my BLOG as I should. I do want to continue sharing about our trip to Israel and I will do that soon – along with sharing about some incredible prayer retreat experiences.
I recently received this cartoon from my good friend, Jenny Broughton. www.jennybroughton.com This indeed illustrates that God is always OnCall. Check out Jenny’s website. She is an outstanding event speaker with a story you will not forget! In fact, Jenny will be one of the breakout speakers at the ProvenWay Retreat July 16-18 along with Lisa Harper, Debbie Stuart, vocalist Kim Him, and much more. You’ll not want to miss this event and time of “Renewal for Women.” www.provenway.org
We are receiving many wonderful reports from men and women who are using the OnCall Prayer Journal. Many say this journal has helped establish a discipline to spend time with the Father and a simple way to “hear from God” on paper. Details about our Journal and how to get your copy are found in the STORE on this website. We must all remember that He instructs us to “be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
May you be blessed and refreshed in the Lord today!

“Lord, I am here. . . .here on the Mount of Olives.  If You would to return right now, that would be just fine with me!” These are the words I found myself praying as I stood on that mountain – realizing that was the very place our Lord will return. (Zech. 14:3-5, Matt. 24:2-4)
Our trip to Israel far exceeded our expectations. We toured several cities to include Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.  We stood in the Caesarea Theatre where the chariot races took place and on Mount Mikado – where the Battle of Armageddon will be fought. That was a very sobering thought and view. We also visited the church where Jesus turned the water into wine. The boat ride on the Sea of Galilee was an incredible experience as we looked out at the same landscape Jesus and the disciples saw. You will remember that this is where He walked on the water. We saw the temple where Jesus preached when the paralyzed man was was lowered through the roof described in Mark 2:4; saw the City of David, and David’s tomb. One day on the tour bus we drove past the tomb of Rachel.
It was a beautiful day when we gathered under the shade trees at the Mount of Beatitudes and sat on the rocks (possibly the same rocks where the disciples sat.) The is where Jesus preached one of the most important sermons in His ministry. Tom Dooley read His Words from Matthew 5- The Beatitudes. Imaging what it must have been like that day 2000 years ago and the reality of just where we were - was a highlight of the trip.Â
I know you will want to hear more about our Israel experience and I will continue with more details of our tour in the next few days . . . to include photographs. I invite you to continue to check my BLOG for the rest of the story.
Thank you for your prayer for the recent Conferences where I was a guest speaker. I believe they went well.

Where should I begin to share with you about our recent experience in Israel March 25 – April 2?  We had a wonderful time! The tour was sponsored by MasterMedia Ministries and our good friends Tom & Melanie Dooley. Tom is the host of “The Journey with Tom Dooley” daily radio program on KVTT 91.7 FM. This was their 10th tour to Israel – so it was outstanding in every way. Â
One very meaningful experience for me was in Jerusalem when we were walking down the Via Dolorosa. I could almost hear Sandi Patti singing that song “Via Dolorosa.” Today that narrow street is lined with shops and very crowded with many people. I said to my husband: “Ronnie, this is like it was THAT day. This street was just this crowded that day – when Jesus carried the Cross up this very street.”  I could only imagine and I wept.
There is so much to share so I will continue to tell you more about our tour in future blogs. To have the opportunity to make this trip was a lifetime dream for me.
Upon our return I spoke at a Women’s Retreat for Central Baptist Church in Katy, TX and it was a huge blessing. Many ladies purchased the OnCall Prayer Journals and I am already receiving many encouraging reports. Â
I am now busy preparing to speak at a women’s conference on April 25th. Please check the details of this event and visit www.conferenceforaspiringwomen.com. Please join us. It is not too late to register. If you are a woman – you are qualified to attend and we’d love to have you!Â
Until next time.Â
Blessings,
Sharon

I want to take this opportunity again to welcome you to our website. Isn’t it magnificent? I have received MANY compliments on the design, beauty, and simplicity of the site.  It is truly unique.  Â
After much prayer, the site was designed by Sean & Jihyun Campbell and Sean maintains the site as our webmaster. I highly recommend this company if you are in the market for a website or a fresh look to your exisiting site. www.campbellwebdevelopment.com I have never met the Campbell’s except through email and phone calls as they live in Arizona, but we are confident that God brought them to us. They were able to capture my passion for prayer and the serenity we desired for people to experience when they visited the site.
If you have not checked out all the pages on the website, please do so soon and remember to turn on your speakers. Please share about our ministry with your family and friends! It is my prayer that everyone who visits the OnCall Prayer website will see the fingerprint of God throughout the site.
In closing, remember this: When you call on God, He never puts you on hold and you never have to leave a voice mail. He is always OnCall.
Please check back soon to hear how, in a few short months, our message and teaching on the “Prayer Shield” (Ecc. 4:12) has gone INTERNATIONAL.
With Warm Regards,
Sharon
